With standardised concrete components and a consistent channel design, economies of scale can be utilised on the construction components. Combining this with a highly skilled and dedicated workforce results in channel construction taking less than 8 weeks!
Substantial investment has been made to develop a standard channel, complete with cast-in steel channel for direct whitewater obstacle system connection. The standard channel is based around a width of 10m but can be widened or narrowed in 2.5m multiples. Corner mouldings have also been produced and standard waterproof joints between the various panels incorporated.
The production of the concrete units in a factory environment ensures high quality precision manufacture and a simple process on site to assemble the components together. Construction risk is mitigated as there is limited in situ concrete works and thus a speedy construction time is possible.
